Holiday Cookie Gift Packaging Pt. 2

Happy WEEKEND!! Can you believe we're a little under two weeks away from Christmas? Did I just stress you out a little? If so, guess what, today's post is all about some quick easy ways to create some of those last minute gifts!

Yesterday, I wrapped up day twelve of my Twelve Days of Cookies series. Today, I'm wrapping up the Flair portion with part two of the cookie gift packaging how-tos. I'm gonna share a few quick ways to package any of my twelve cookies so you can turn around and give them to your friends and family! And I promise you, packaging cookies is half the fun of making them. Who doesn't love a dose of DIY, am I right?! It is seriously so much fun to surprise your mailman, neighbors, or coworkers with a box of freshly baked Peppermint Bark Cookies!

Last week, I showed you how to package the first five cookies (Alfajores, Speculoos Reindeer, Peanutiest Peanut Butter Cookies, Brown Butter Thyme Shortbreads, and Orange Cardamom Butter Cookies with Angostura Royal Icing. This week, we'll go over the remainder of the twelve days.

Spicy Bourbon Molasses and Earl Grey Oatmeal Gift Packaging

What you'll need:

For Spicy Bourbon Molasses, start by stacking 6-8 on top of one another and sliding stack into cello bag so that the stack is parallel to the bottom of the bag. Roll top down a couple folds, then wrap remainder of the cello tightly around stack until the folded top mets the stack. Secure with tape or sticker. For Earl Grey Oatmeal, repeat the same steps but put 10-12 cookies into each bag. Put a wrapped stack into coffee bag, roll down top three folds, and secure with tabs. Repeat as necessary. Using template, print as many sheets as you'll need for all your bags (either onto sticker paper or regular paper). If you're printing onto regular paper, cut out each label (with either scissors or soft grip knife and ruler) then run through sticker machine. If you're printing to sticker paper, simply cut out with scissors or soft grip knife and ruler. Fold label above the "Happy Holidays" so that it'll fold perfectly over the top of your bag. For Spicy Bourbon Molasses, place folded sticker (with backing on) over to measure how much ribbon you'll need to fill the space between the bottom of the front of your sticker and the bottom of the back. Give yourself at least 3/4" extra on both ends. Start to secure the front folded side of your label to the bag and place 3/4" of your ribbon in the middle of the end of your label before sticking to bag. Wrap the ribbon around the bottom and hold in place while sticking on the back. For Earl Grey Oatmeal, secure the front folded side of your label to the bag, then stick on back of label.

Put five or six cookies into each tray then put tray into 5" x 3" x 11-1/2" cello bag. Roll down side at least once and secure with tape. Wrap twine around tray a few times and tie under the tray (trim edges). Affix label to cello where ever you please!
